Stop ripping off the disabled.

I hate it when disabled people get ripped off by sellers - simply because they can

I believe that there needs to be a register of companies that should be avoided for this very reason and similar register of good companies who have gone out of their way to do a good job…..

    Sounds like a good idea @Wibbles!

    It would take a bit of work to build it up, but it would be very handy to have something like that so that businesses are held more accountable.

    I remember Google Maps or Apple Maps or someone used to have a tick box when you were searching businesses. You could filter the results so it only showed black- or female- owned or driven businesses

    Putting aside my views on whether replacing one form of discrimination with another form of discrimination is a morally acceptable to do, maybe a similar thing could be done when it comes to disability friendly businesses???

    I do wonder how such a system would work for disability-friendly businesses (for consumers) would work?

    I've thought about this and I can't think of any time I've been ripped off. People are buying things I don't buy? Grateful for examples.

    In my experience, sales people rip everyone off. That's the problem with a commission based job. I don't think it's specifically a disabled issue.

    I do grudge having to pay delivery fees for small items that 'normal' people can pick up any time they pass a shop. But that's not the shops fault. They have to pay for postage and packaging and someone's time to prepare it.
