Can I ask what this text means as they seem to be taking a really long time?

Hi, I hope you guys are well. I applied for mandatory reconsideration on my PIP as I didn't get anything for the mobility part, and ive had these texts so far

What does this mean? I mean I know what it means but how close is my case to being examined? Any help would be greatly appreciated

No one can tell you unfortunately how close your case is to being examined. There are many variables such as Decision Maker workloads etc.

Also reversing decisions at MR is quite rare, whereas going to Tribunal has a much better success rate.

Thank you for the reply! I'll try to be patient then.

Timescales for MR decisions has recently increased from up to 12 weeks to 15 weeks. I'd advise you to think about something else (difficult I know) because otherwise your anxiety will go through the roof.

I will have to try harder at that, thank you.

    hiya,

When I asked for a MR I got four texts saying a rough time scale but I actually ended up ringing them after 12 weeks and got told over the phone. So as hard as it is ( I know it’s awful because I went through it last year ), I’d see what they say and maybe start preparing for applying for a tribunal just in case. X

So it is worth giving them a ring or give them more time? Thank you all for the replies by the way I appreciate it.

You can ring them anytime to ask if there's any updates. If a decision is made they will tell you.

I'm feeling quite anxious about it but I'll try and hold off from calling!

It's perfectly normal to feel this way because the majority of people do.

Likely sent in error. You will be contacted once a decision is made.

The whole PIP process is stressful. I feel like they have these massive deadlines and processes to put people off from appealing.

Try and not focus on it - easier said than done, because I’m quite obsessed myself at the moment.

Finally got a response! Got the letter not a text, and I was turned down. Off to tribunal I guess.

I'm sorry to hear that @aworldalone93. How are you feeling about the prospect of a tribunal?

Very nervous! But then no one looks forward to these things. I was reading the decision letter and they have completely ignored the evidence I sent them, but from reading this forum I think thats common?

Sadly more MRs do end in no change so it's not unexpected @aworldalone93. If you have any questions about the appeal please don't hesitate to ask.

I understand there's a much higher success rate in tribunals? And thank you!
