ESA and Work

in Employment & Support Allowance (ESA)
I've been offered work placement for 16hours can I get some of my ESA or would I need to sign off of ESA?

    Hi jape

    If you work 16 hours per week then your ESA should stop. Permitted work allows you to keep your ESA but there are strict limits on this including the number of hours you work which must be less than 16 hours per week. For many people permitted work is quite a good option and so i suggest you take a look at the Disability Rights UK factsheet which you can find here.
