LCWRA & going on holiday
I’ve recently been approved for LCWRA and I heard they check your bank account & call you to ask what you spend your money on, is this true? I was wondering if I’d be able to have a few days away or if that’s not allowed if they see my bank statement. Obviously not a stupidly expensive trip. Just a change of scenery for a couple of days. & I don’t know if there’s certain things you’re not allowed to spend it on. Obviously it’s mainly things like bills & food etc but I’m almost paranoid about buying a kfc 😂

If you get selected for a UC Compliance Check then yes, they will require bank statements and ask some questions about your transactions.
The DWP are conducting a large number and f these checks and several members here on Scope, including myself, have had one.
You are allowed to spend your money on anything you choose.

I have been on LCWRA for years and not once have I ever been asked to provide bank statements or details of what I spend my money on.
Of course you are allowed a break/holiday.
Go and enjoy yourself and try not to worry about false rumours in the media.
