Budget loan ( legacy benefits)

Hi I applied for a loan a week ago , the following day I got a text stating they needed more time , I’ve still not heard anything and I have severe anxiety concerning this it’s never taken this long before when I’ve applied online , is this normal ?

    There are delays at the moment with budgeting loans of up to 3 weeks. Unfortunately all you can do is wait.

    Aww that makes sense , and has alleviated some of my anxiety, thanks so much for replying

    Welcome to the community! :) I'm sorry the wait it causing you anxiety. Can I ask, is there anything we can do to help support? Could it be something that a grant would help with? I'd encourage you to look at Turn2Us if it is :)

    Hi Hannah , thanks so much for the reply , i will take a look at turn to us , my cooker has broken and my daughter who is  autistic will only eat certain foods so it’s causing some trouble , just replying is helpful, I’m not very good on the phone so I don’t want to call them so I’ll just have to wait , knowing there is delays has alleviated some anxiety I feel like I’m constantly waiting for my phone to text , I’ve never had this issue before now

    HI1st time here, I had the same txt from dwp , I've always had loans and never received this txt before , it does make you anxious when they say there staff need more time to check your details even tho you know you've done nothing wrong.

    Good morning this is nothing to worry about it’s happened to me twice in the past 6months and everything was fine. Yes it’s a worry when that msg comes back but it’s definitely nothing to worry about.

    What I did find out some weeks ago was that those that have a text saying this means that they are manually processing the application.
