Do any of you feel lonely sometimes because family won't expect your illness?

    The neurologist told me I have

    Functional neurological disorder I told my family what it is and sent them links but they are not willing to look into it and say I will be walking in no time. I haven't been able to walk since July last year.

    Basically my brain is not sending the right signals and I suffer with sezuires.

    When I spoke to one of my sister's she cut the phone call short and said she didn't have time to speak about it.

    I feel lonely from lack of support from my family.

    I have really good friends and support from them.

    Sometimes it can be very difficult to accept a change in health @sparkleapril both from yourself and from loved ones. If they're saying you'll be walking in no time, maybe they're just trying to be positive about things?
    It's always so difficult with invisible illnesses though, so I'm sorry you're having a tough time, I've been there myself. It took a fair amount of time, but eventually people came round.
