You'll be pleased to know Sir Timms recently visited the opening of our Leeds Hub and had a good chat with Scope about how the DWP could help support the disabled community better.

Would he be in charge of the disabled benefits and migration to UC

That would still be the DWP, but he'd have a say in things involving the disabled.

I wonder if its worth emailing him with our concerns

I have just read this thread for the first time, so please bear with me.
I am over pension age and also on PIP.The political climate around this had me running scared.
However, I think we need to remind ourselves that nothing has actually happened.Any changes made to PIP will take a long time to come in to effect.

I remember replying to that comment.
She was on a LBC show and a PIP claimant rang to ask her a question live.
Sadly the question was poorly phrased, but understandably the lady calling was likely shaking with nerves. Reeve was asked if Labour would adopt the voucher idea for PIP, she responded Labour wont be doing that sort of thing.
Sadly the question wasnt long the lines of will you make any changes to PIP at all. Likewise Timms saying they wont be responding to the consultation was never a promise they wont do anything.
