Hi everyone
My husband and myself claim housing and council tax benefit. My husband claims ESA on both our behalf. We are both receiving PIP, myself is enhanced for both and my husband just care. We live in a Council house. My adult son who is working is moving in with us. We have lost the severe disability premium from ESA. Does anyone have any idea of the percentage we will lose from our housing and council tax benefit please?
Thank you

There will be no non dependant deductions from your housing benefit because you're claiming daily living PIP.
The reason you lost the SDP is because you now have another adult living with you. If your son also claimed a qualifying disability benefit himself or he was registered blind then you would still be entitled to it.
You could claim carers allowance for looking after each other. Are you also aware that only the main claimant of the ESA claim will be receiving NI credits towards their state pension? The partner named on the claim will not be receiving it. By claiming carers allowance you would also receive class 1 NI credits.
