Online dating

I'm lesbian and disabled and struggling to find a partner. I've done countless online dating sites and got nowhere. I've been single for 14 years and feel it's time to meet someone. I'm just not sure how to go about it. Any ideas?

Heya @Rebel70 I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling to find a partner. I totally understand, the dating scene certainly isn't easy these days, especially if LGBTQIA+ and disabled. There's a lot of specialist dating sites out there now, it's not just Tinder, so maybe some of the regulars will have some suggestions for alternate apps?
What've you tried so far? We can take it from there. 😊

Hi Albus-scope
I've tried many dating apps. Zoe, Her, OK, Bumble and the normal sites. I've even paid for some others and got nowhere. It's a nightmare. So many want to play around and I don't drive so that limits me.
I have alot to offer the right lady but I'm just not finding her. I've been in my own 14 yrs now And I'm in my 50s so time is running down slowly.
It'sjust a mind field ☄️🔥

Hi Rebel70,
I know exactly how you feel. I’ve been chatting to a lot of guys and when I mention that I need to use a walking stick or crutches, I never hear from them again. Their loss!

Hi!
All that I can say is it’s a big can of worms for sure. I joined Taimi - a lesbian dating site after seeing a lovely couple recommended it. I don’t know how I managed to make an impression on there thinking back. Maybe it was my honesty that my now wife found refreshing. It’s a daunting prospect, but I recommend that you look for a site that best suits you. People do go on some dating apps (myself included) absolutely shocked that there are so many fake profiles on the apps, or people only interested in a casual encounter. There are also dating apps for our community that are age based too. Do check out several websites before you sign up to any dating apps because I know that some of them keep your profile on their website. I was totally ignorant about any of these things prior to deciding to trying to find my match.
Wishing you every success in your journey to finding your match 🩷0
