Council tax reduction

Hi I am receiving p.i.p I moved because of my illness, had adaptations out who decided I had to have bath removed and walk in shower done ,I applied for council tax because of the adaptation but they said not entitled is this correct?

Adaptions to your property does not entitle you to council tax reduction. (CTR) Council Tax reduction is means tested and whether there's any entitlement will depend on your circumstances.
There's council tax discount, which is totally different to CTR and isn't means tested. There's a disabled band reduction but I don't think having a walk in shower would qualify you for that. See link.
