MP's and home visits ?

Hi everyone ( no idea which section this should go in )

Just a quick question please

Does anyone in chat know if MP's will come out to a persons home for a face to face discussion please ? They used to, I have had a couple of visits in the past but that was probably 40 odd years ago, when they were nice lol and I actually knew who they were as they went to every single door leading up to elections.

Thank you ☺️

It doesn't hurt to ask @mrsBB. They can arrange to visit you, or they may arrange for a staffer to visit you as well. Though obviously the MP visiting is preferable. You should mention if you are unable to visit the local constituency surgeries.

@Bluebell21 thank you very much for the reply, much appreciated. I am housebound so I was hoping they would come to my home. I will give them a ring and see if it’s possible, never know, she may say of course 😂

Take care and thanks again 😊

@Jimm_Scope thank you 👍 I will certainly explain that I am housebound and can’t get to their surgeries. We will see if they will, I don’t mind if it’s someone other than the MP, just hope if they do come they come prepared for the visit to be a long one 😂😂 I have much to discuss lol.

    Thanks again Jimm ☺️

@AKR Yep, I fondly remember the days when your doctor would do a friendly home visit, day or night. Only recently I was talking to my GP about how things had changed so much, I was joking with him how I remember his young self sitting at his desk with a cigarette on the go and an over flowing ashtray, he did stop smoking around the same time I did, but yeah he could never lecture me about it haha😁 I have had the same GP since he was just out of training and I was pregnant with my eldest, that GP was 70 two weeks ago 😮wow time has flown. I will mention a telephone call when I ring the MP's secretary, that might be the best option, thank you for the suggestion 😊

Morning @Bluebell21 and @Jimm_Scope I defiantly will let you know. I am a little unwell at the mo with the dreaded cellulitis, I have ongoing issues with horrid lymphedema in both lower legs and severe psoriasis just to top it off lol. As soon as I feel ok again I will definatly be enquiring xxx
