in Start here and say hello!
I am nearly 20 years old and have had a formal diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome when I was 12 years old but my parents knew when I was 8 they tried to tell my year three teacher and she wanted nothing to do with it so I have had no proper help as my Educational psychologist retired after diagnosing me and nothing else was done so if anyone knows of helpful groups which can be of help please tell me, or any ways in which I can be an advocate for disabilities that would be great.

    Hi @Lilacadder, welcome to the community. It is sad that it took long time for your case to be diagnosed.

    The organisation support parents with disable children especially with Autism and Asperger's syndrome. 
    Get in touch with them I am sure all support will be welcome or advice given.
