Hi just wondering if any1 successful on appeal for personal independence payment and also do they change anything on mandatory reconsideration as I've applied for the second stage

    16% of MRs succeed and 65% of tribunal appeals do.

    That's high percent for last tribunal feels like fight with pip make them under conditions

    Mine was quite quick - less than a month.  But some people wait three months.

    No - stayed the same.  I understand that only 16% of MRs result in a upgrade, unfortunately.  I'm awaiting a tribunal hearing.

    Good luck with your MR - some do get changed.

    There's lots of info on appealing PIP decisions here @dan20ddf

    You need to fill in an appeal form, called SSCS1. You can get a copy of SSCS1 and guidance notes PDF  from GOV.UK. Make sure you complete the whole appeal form otherwise your appeal could be rejected.

    The most important part of the form is Section 5: Grounds for appeal. In this box you need to give the specific reasons why you disagree with the decision.
    Use your decision letter, statement of reasons and medical assessment report to note each of the statements you disagree with and why. Give facts, examples and medical evidence (if you have any) to support what you’re saying.
    You might have done this already for your mandatory reconsideration letter - if so, you can use the same examples and pieces of evidence again.

    You can contact your local Law Centre for free advice and representation, you don't have to have representation and either way you can take a friend or family member for moral support.
