Had pip assessment and worried about the children related questions

Hi can anyone please help I had my pip assessment yesterday and my anxiety has got the better off me there ask me a few questions about my children and deep down I don't think have answered them right and now am actually making my self poorly thinking scoial service are going to contact me if they was going to how long after ur pip assessment would they contact me

    They very often ask about who you live with this is to gather more information about your life and how your conditions affect you. I've been claiming PIP for 11 years and when first claimed my children were all in school and yes I was asked about them too and I was a single mum.

    Nothing ever came of it and they didn't contact anyone. It's very easy to overthink things after the assessment. I'd advise you to try to distract yourself and think about something else while you wait for the decision.

    Hello @Ijustdontknow, welcome to our community 😊 I hope we are able to help you with the PIP process

    It's quite normal to ask such questions during the PIP assessment. They can be a good way to see how much your conditions affect you, and so how much PIP could help you potentially.

    If you don't think you have answered them right when it comes to the criteria of PIP you can bring that up in a Mandatory Reconsideration after you have received the decision, and if you disagree with parts of it.
