Is there any help with misophonia for my 13 year old daughter?

Hi I'm here because my daughter suffers from eating sounds misophonia. I had no idea this was even a phobia. She's only 13 and she's suffering really badly it's affecting her friendships especially outside of school. Birthday parties and going to friends houses. What help is available if any, professionally?

Good afternoon @WorriedMum52 and welcome to the community. 🙂
I don't know a huge amount the condition and am unable to give medical advice but I found this NHS page on misophonia which suggests that there is some evidence that CBT can help.
There's also a small amount of advice on this NHS leaflet on sound sensitivity which you might find useful.
Have you spoken to her GP about it at all?

Thanks for this, I never even knew it was a thing until very recently. It's been going on for a few years now and it's time to get help. It's something I thought she would of grew out of, but as she's got older it seems to have got worse and is now starting to affect her relationships. I'm currently at our local GP surgery and I'm going to get her an appt to get the wheels in motion

I also struggle with misophonia @WorriedMum52 with people eating, so I can emapthise! It's not an easy thing to deal with, but I've found deep breathing exercises helps calm me down a fair bit. Also having a good pair of noise cancelling ear buds really helps.
