I need advice about my UC application
Hi
I've applied for UC as I am unemployed and unable to work full-time due to my Mental health and AuDHD.
I said I can work part-time but not full time as I have sensory overload. I am also starting a part-time college course as I want to pursue a different career which requires certaim qualifications.
Do I need to get a fit note to say that I can only work part-time?
Please Help

I think so yes, in order to be relieved of full time work search, however I know there are different rules for students so someone more knowledgeable will come along with more info. I would go to your GP asap and get a fit note so you can start the health journey in UC, they will only backdate any extra benefit to the date you submit one.

Hi @Candiesel and welcome to the community 😊
The DWP requires that,
'You must get a fit note if your health condition or disability limits how much you can work for longer than 7 days.' DWP - UC
So yes, you should get a fit note to declare that you can only work part-time.
