Pip review 2024

evening all !
hoping someone can share some advice.
my second pip review is due April 2025. Last week I received the forms to fill in and return.
does anyone know how long the reviews are taking at the moment?
im already working myself up for the worst and losing my pip. I currently recieve high rate of both elements.
and also does anyone know if I need a face to face assessment, will that take place before April 2025?
thankyou

As TheManFromLondon has mentioned it is taking up most of the year for reviews to be completed @bagheera93. Most people these days are getting phone assessments rather than face to face assessments. You can request one if you prefer to do it over the phone.
And, as TheManFromLondon also mentioned, treat the forms like it's an entirely new claim. Even if you mentioned it in your initial application you must mention exactly how your conditions are affecting you and not assume they will look at the previous award.
Also remember, the same appeals process is in place for reviews. So you will get a chance at a Mandatory Reconsideration and a tribunal.

thanks both :)
It’s anxious wait isn’t it.
do you mean a year form my review date of April 2025 or a year form when I have received my review forms ? September 2024?0 -
A year from when you turn the review forms back in normally, in my experience anyway!

in your opinion , are reviews as bad as the first assessment?
in terms of having the rate reduced or pip totally stopped ?.0 -
Very anecdotally, but reviews tend to be very similar. Perhaps a very slight tendency to be less likely to reject with 0 points but I've still heard that happening.

juts a little update , I still have not heard back from pip about my review. My claim ends this April and my review forms where received on September 20th 2024

That's perfectly normal. You haven't been waiting that long compared to many thousands of other people. Your current award will continue until a decision is made. If no decision is made by the time your award is due to end it will be extended for up to one year.

oh I’m not bothered at the entry if Tim win waiting, I just wanted to give a update incase people are wondering how long reviews are taking. A question though, if my claims due to end in April, when do people usually receive the letter extending the claim ?

Yes, you will receive a letter telling you it’s extended for up to 1 year. Usually this is sent out about 35 days before your award is due to end.
