hi I’m new to all this benefits money and I’m a single parent to my daughter 17 , I’m her carer she has autism and very bad mental health , she’s received pip and I’m getting carers allowance and universal credit , I put all our money together to survive but food and bills etc and I give my daughter money we can spare and she don’t go without , there now stopping her child universal credit on mine £330 month as she’s not in education , they have now said my daughter to claim universal credit now , thing is my daughter don’t leave the house and does not know about money and when she has money spends it online in games , so do I now put universal credit into her bank account or could I still use it for food manly her food as she has a lot of food issues certain foods regular etc , I kind of am going to struggle without the £330 a month

Hi @laura1969, welcome to the community. As Nightcity mentioned, you might like to look into becoming your daughter's appointee.
Become an appointee for someone claiming benefits - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
If you feel she would need support to manage her claim, becoming her appointee means you would manage it for her.
If you'd like to speak to someone about different possibilities, you could try looking for a local benefits advisor. They might be able to talk you through anything else you can claim and help answer any questions you might have. Advicelocal are worth a look 😊
