Help with carers please!

Hello, I’m after some advice. I live with my disabled mum in housing association home. I’ve bought a house and she’s coming to live with me. It’s in a different authority. Getting her care transferred (4 calls a day) is proving to be massive stumbling block.
Social workers say the new authority are dragging feet in organising commissioned care. They’ve suggested we go down direct payment route in the meantime. They have agreed to pay Just over 11.00 a visit. However every agencyi ring costs over 30.00.
Does this sound right?!

Hi @karmc. Here's some information about Direct payments from Carers UK. The direct payment must be enough to meet your mum's needs. Have you had a care needs assessment from the new authority?
