Lcwra

Good evening hoping you can help me with my query.
Back in January 2024 I appealed against my lcwra as my contribution esa was coming to an end in May 2024.
In april i won my appeal for Lcwra with 15 points scored .
On the 29th May 2024 esa phoned me to say my contributions payments would be stopping even tho I was awarderd Lcwra and scoring 15 points in April, they stated as my award did not state support group I would not receive further payments going forward after a very frustrating conversation on the phone the gentleman advised me to get back intouch with the courts as if it had stated support group I would of been entitled to on going payments .
I done just that on the 29th May I got intouch with the courts who kindly advised me I would havet to put in for a corrections notice if that was the case .
So I done the corrections notice on the 29th May emailed.
At this point I didn't know either way what I was entitled too or was I doing the correct thing or was I loosing out on my Lcwra or do I claim it from another department, so I emailed the corrections notice to the courts.
After many updates saying my request was being looked into
Today 24th September 2024 I received my email regarding the out come of my request the courts have basically said my award for Lcwra and 15 points is still approved , but the request a corrections notice for the support group has been declined.
Please, please. Can you help me going forward do I now have to claim uc Lcwra or esa iam still in work on 15 hours altered hours coz of my disability , I feel I have not been correctly advised on claiming my Lcwra and have I lost out in any back pay as its taking so long
Kind regards
Pes

LCWRA is the same as Support Group. For ESA it's Support Group but for UC it's known as LCWRA but they are both exactly the same.
As this is what the decision was then it will apply to both ESA and UC. You will still be paid any money that's owed. I'd advise you to contact ESA tomorrow and also put a message onto your journal for UC and ask about the money that's owed due to the LCWRA decision from the Tribunal.

Good morning poppy
Hope you are well !
Iam back with my update ! Very upset and frustrated basically DWP have said they have placed me in the work related activitie group! With no further payments going forward but my national insurance credits will continue! Surely this is incorrect as I stated on my winning appeal it states : no1 The appeal is Allowed No2The decision on the 15.01.24 is set aside no3 Limited capibility for work. No4 in applying the work capibility 15 points were scored. No5. Manual dexterity 15 points. No6 The appeal is allowed . Then it states the decision made on 15. 1. 24 . is set aside. Then states iam entitled to employment and support allowance (ESA) with the work related activitie component with a reassesse with in 24 months .
Iam so upset and still confused should I seek further Advise .
Cheers.

Surley if it states I have
Limited capibility for work.
Scoring my 15 points
With work related activitie.
This would mean the support group .

Can you post a screenshot of the actual decision letter from the Tribunal? Please make sure that all personal information such as name, address, NI number is not showing.

Thank you I can read that. It’s what I thought. Unfortunately, it says you do not have LCWRA because none of the descriptors applied and regulation 35 didn’t apply.
You were found to have LCW only and for this there’s no extra money and ESA payments are limited to 1 year. Your NI credits will continue based on LCW. For ESA this will be the Work Related Activity Group which is mentioned in the letter above.
Have you checked entitlement to Universal Credit?
