UC is a benefit made up of many different elements. The LCWRA element is an element that's included in your monthly payment.
What was the £230 for? That doesn't refer to any elements that I know of. What does it say on your statements? It will tell you what elements are included and any deductions that may apply.

If your UC included the carers element for yourself then the same person can't receive that at the same time as the LCWRA element. In this case the higher element will be paid, which is the LCWRA element.
However, I'm afraid you haven't given enough of information for me to be able to advise you. I would need to know exactly what elements were included before the LCWRA element was included and what deductions were being made and for what?
