Savings changes asking for evidence again
I am on contributions based ESA and enhanced PIP for both components.
Moved over to UC from TC. It was agreed eventually I don’t need to go in for appointments as a reasonable adjustment.
We have savings over 16K but due to transitional protection can claim for 12 months.
They said i need to put through a change if savings changed (we had to buy a car so it’s gone down). It is still above 16K so won’t affect the claim at all but i though i should do what i was told to do even though i thought i shouldn’t need to do it.
I have been asked to go in with evidence of savings again ( they have already seen it all once)
Can someone please confirm that they shouldn’t need to see the evidence again? i’ve put it all on the journal and said i don’t understand why they need to see it again but if they do can they change the appointment to my partner’s name.
Also should they have pinned my access needs to the top of the claim so i don’t get asked to go in again? i’m sure i read somewhere they can do this.
thanks

Hi @tootiredforthis, sorry no-one has been able to answer your question. Have they replied to you on your journal about why they need to see it again?
I'm not too sure about access needs, but it seems like it's something that should be on your file so they understand your needs and make adjustments. Hopefully another member will know more.

There are other ways you can provide bank statements to them, including them adding a secure upload link on your journal. Use the 'access needs' option on your account to discuss this and ask they check your claim adjustments.
