LCWRA Payments
Hello, I recently had an assessment for limited Capability. I originally provided a sick note on the 23rdJune which was until 30th September and I had my assessment on 3rd September.
On 26th September I was informed I've been awarded Limited Capability, my assessment period ends on the 4th of each month so I've got my statement today and my pay date is 11th. When should I expect to start receiving payments? The letter said 3 months from when I first submitted evidence, which the sick note was back in June. But payments haven't gone up yet. This is all quite new to me so not sure how it works.

The waiting period is 3 full assessment periods and the extra money is then paid from the 4th month after you provided your first fit note. As UC is paid 1 month in arrears your first payment would be at the end of that 4th month.
Based on the information you gave your waiting period will be July/Aug, Aug/Sept, Sept/Oct.. LCWRA starts from 5th Oct to 4th November and first payment will be 11th November. No LCWRA element is owed.
If you or a partner were receiving earnings since you provided your first fit note and you didn't previously have the work allowance, you'll be owed some money from that.

Thank you so much for that, there's just me and I haven't been receiving any earnings other than UC.
