Hi, my name is Donald1971! PIP claim for obstructive sleep apnoea, any advice?

Hoping to get some advice on my PIP claim for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. I am getting a phone call assessment next week about it….

PIP isn't about a diagnosis. It's how those conditions affect you against the PIP descriptors.
During the assessment try not to answer any questions with just a simple yes or no. You need give as much relevant information as possible.
I'd advise you to have a read of this, it will hopefully help you to understand the descriptors a little more.
The assessment can last anywhere from 20 to 120 minutes, sometimes longer. Once the report is returned to DWP a decision can take anything up to 12 weeks.

Are you on a cpap machine?
I do sympathise with you as my partner had to use one for a while.
You will need to state how the sleep apnoea affects you, for instance the constant fatigue and falling asleep and how it affects your ability to function.

its costrophic scared of not waking up everymorning constantly tired forcing my body with energy drink to be able to donmy job to pay the bills

find ot uard to swollow when a was diagnosed in a cardiac afrest watd in hospital. Thought a had a heart attack when i actually stopped breathing. Im always thought red akd fatigued after considering a fit individual… loss motivation to deal with life but incrack on. Cakt be bothered with making food always cooking microwave meals.. then soon after that just winna sleep again. In work fuelled by energy drink. Cant even cuddle my wife with this stupid mahine looj like a robot0
