So PIP have asked for a statement of reasons after tribunal win

Bit of a confusing one - so after I won my PIP tribunal back in may, DWP requested a statement of reasons to try to appeal this. Today I had a call from them asking for my bank details and if I would be happy with a lump payment. I am confused as neither of us (me or the DWP) have even received the statement of reasons yet. Are they actually going to pay me or are they trying to gather evidence against me ?!

    The DWP may request a Statement of Reasons (SOR) & Record of Proceedings (ROP), but they rarely appeal. They would also have to find there was an error in law before they could appeal to an Upper tribunal..

    Unless you also requested the SOR & ROP, you wouldn't receive them. If you're happy with the result of your Tribunal then you obviously wouldn't need them.

    Checking your bank details are correct & asking if you're OK with a lump payment rather indicates that the DWP will be paying you any monies owed. They often ring to ask such questions before payment.

    They said that twice and I got payback for changes in the law
