Many people are carers and claim PIP their self without any issues. Sometimes it may go against you if your caring duties contradict the reasons why you're claiming PIP.
I claim carers allowance for looking after my daughter and PIP myself. My daughter as Autism and a learning disability and I have physical conditions. My caring doesn't contradict the reasons why I claim PIP.

thank you
before I was claiming for physical condition aswell still have physical condition an written in my review I use aids but in my review assessment reportShows they given me points for pts d mental health prompting each descriptor
Instead for using aids prepare meal bathing , dressing toileting my physical condition points are taken away
an my partner has behaviour issues an depression an anxiety
they have given me similar points to himAn taken my physical induction using aids away
Caring role partner is scared at night don’t like staying alone says he hears an sees things
so I spend time with him mostly an go out with him do his shopping an washing etc
but what I’ve been assased as are similar to himSo I don’t know how it will work out

Hi @bi786, how recently was this decision? Even if you do get an award, if it does not award you a rate you think you are entitled to due to how your conditions affect your life you can appeal it. If this is the case you can read more about it here: Appealing a benefits decision | Disability charity Scope UK
