Hi aries,
Unfortunately, it is my understanding that the DWP can review claims (and ultimately stop awards) at any point they see fit (even within award periods).
As such they are within their rights to make the new decision.
HOWEVER if you think they have stopped your benefit and this is not correct, then they are not within their rights to do this. Therefore if you think this you must challenge the decision and must do so promptly.
