i wonder if I could get some advice please. I was awarded PIP until December this year. I had a 12 monthly review and added there had been 2 relevant changes. I was asked to go for face to face assessment which I did. Sadly my benefit PIP has been stopped 18/4/17. I don't really understand how it can be stopped when it clearly states that I am entitled to PIP until December 2017? Can the advisor help please or anyone else.

    Hi aries,

    Unfortunately, it is my understanding that the DWP can review claims (and ultimately stop awards) at any point they see fit (even within award periods).

    As such they are within their rights to make the new decision.

    HOWEVER if you think they have stopped your benefit and this is not correct, then they are not within their rights to do this. Therefore if you think this you must challenge the decision and must do so promptly.
