There is a waiting period of 3 full assessment periods before LCWRA is added to your payment.
In order to help we will need to know the following:
The date you handed in your first Fit Note
Were there any gaps in your Fit Notes?
The date you were awarded LCWRA
Your assessment period & payment dates.

Hi @suesblueeyes01, welcome to the community 😊 As Kimmy mentions there is a three month waiting period before LCWRA payments begin. They don't seem to mention this very often! Hopefully we will help you figure out exactly what date you'll first receive it.
I'll just move this over to our universal credit section. 🙂

Your waiting period will be Feb/March, March/April, April/May… LCWRA starts from assessment period 20th May to 19th June and first payment will be 27th June. Money owed will be paid as a separate payment to your usually payment date and often takes quite a few weeks to pay it.
As the decision was made very close to the end of your assessment period, this will be why the element wasn't showing in your statement this month because there wouldn't have been enough of time to include it this month.

As poppy says, the LCWRA element is due from 27 June, this is an extra £416-19 a month. Check your next statement to see if this extra £416-19 has been included. If so, you should receive 5 x £416-19 = £2080-95 for the earlier months as a separate payment, but this can take a few weeks to be paid. If you're paid £416-19 on the 27th of this month, then £1664.76 (for 4 months) will be owed instead.

Does your UC include Transitional Protection because you were claiming another benefit before UC?

hi poppy123456 not sure wat u mean about transitional protection

Did you transfer to UC from another benefit? If your UC included Transitional Protection then it would tell you on your statements.

Were you or a partner receiving any earnings since you provided your first fit note and didn’t previously have the work allowance? If you were then this sounds like it’s money owed from that.

Thank u poppy for replying I don’t ave a partner I am a widow and the only money I was getting was SSP this ran out on the 10/8/24 and I ave gone on my UC statements and some statements from UC ave been changed to a different amount that went in to my bank I just don’t understand any of it I ave no idea totally confused by it all

SSP is treated as earnings and if you have no children on your claim you wouldn’t have had the work allowance. When found to have either LCW or LCWRA you also have the work allowance. This means you can receive a certain amount of earnings each month before any deductions apply.
If you claim for help with the rent your work allowance will be £404/month, if you don’t it will be £673/month. For every £1/month of earnings received over those amounts your UC is reduced by 55p.
When you don’t have the work allowance there’s no earnings disregard.
What they’ve done here is calculated what is owed due to this. Very often they do that before adding the LCWRA element. Yes, your statements have changed because they have been recalculated. They will now pay that money into your bank account.
Now they need to recalculate your statements again to include the LCWRA element. Once this is done you’ll receive another letter on your journal telling you how much is owed and it will be paid into your bank.
Yes, it’s a strange way of doing it and it would be less complicated if they recalculated everything in one go.
I hope this helps make things a little more clear.
