Can I cancel a mandatory reconsideration

in PIP, DLA, ADP & AA

I applied for a reconsideration I think capita have done a new assessment but no decision has been made can I cancel it I live in Northern Ireland

    It's rare for another assessment to be completed for the MR stage. Usually for this a different decision maker will look at your claim and come to another decision.

    Do you currently have an award? Is this why you want to cancel the MR because you're scared you'll lose what you already have?

    It maybe possible to cancel the MR but you'll need to contact PIP/DFC for this.

    yes I asked for the new report from capita and it doesn’t look good so I’m wondering can I cancel it before a decision is made

    At first you said you think another assessment has been done but now you're saying you have the new report.

    If a new report has been written I'm unsure if you can cancel at this stage.
