Pip assessment
hi all I’m really confused to if this is the normal procedure or not I had sent my pip forms off 8weeks ago I’ve not heard anything about an assessment.ive normally had a appointment I’ve just had a phone call out of the blue with a telephone assessment totally caught me off guard has anyone else had this also how long now until a decision is made ..?

Hi Jason,
You normally receive a text, email or letter from 'DWP' regarding an appointment, unless they do a 'paper-based assessment' where they still may need to contact you to clarify a few questions, without appointment.
Usually, I think most people have a decision back within 4 weeks. I had mine back after 7-10 days.0 -
ok thank you it must have been a paper based one then as I had no appointment she just rang and said can I ask a couple of questions on the phone it was not a long phone call now gone to a decision maker
