ESA haven't called
Hi,
I submitted a new style ESA as I was medically dismissed from my job due to my fibromyalgia and work not being able to make adjustments (apparently!)
I had my assessment appointment today over the phone (6/11/24) at 1pm. It's now 2:30pm and nobody has called me. I am extremely worried because I don't know what is going on and I can't get hold of anybody on the DPW for job centre
I did submit everything for form including sick notes that I had at that time explaining why I was off sick.
Does anyone know what could be going on?
Thanks

Heya @KatSuttie and welcome to the community!
That does sound like a massive pain, I'm sorry. Sometimes assessors may be sick or previous calls can overrun, so they miss people out and will reschedule them for other dates. But they'd often send a text if this happens. But not always. So the best bet will be trying to give the DWP a call first thing tomorrow when the lines open, that's usually the best time to get through.

Do you know who's doing the assessment? If you do then it's better to ring them and not DWP itself because they are unlikely to know what's happened. I'd advise you to ring the assessor in the morning when they open.
