esa to uc

i have my standard identity appointment at the job centre plus on thursday, i have my bank statements etc,but im just a bit nervous about it. is it just a normal appointment? what happens? has anyone already had it? any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
They're just checking your documents to make sure that the name and address matches on all of them.
If you're privately renting, they'll also need to see proof of housing costs.
And they'll also want to double check the details on the bank card that you wish to have UC paid into.
Bank statements aren't generally needed for the identity appointment. Though one can be used as proof of address if you don't have a driving licence & passport for photo ID.
You may also be asked to confirm commitments at this appointment. But again that is very easy. The main commitment is to notify them of any changes. You may also have some work based commitments depending on your circumstances.

hi all,today i had my standard identity appointment. all they did was make sure my identity matched to bank statements etc. the appointment lasted under 20 minutes. im just glad it is done with now.

hi all,i just wanted to ask,im in the esa support group,in two weeks my esa ends, what happens to my prescriptions?

So you have two options.
You can pay for them, ask for a receipt and claim back the money once your UC award is confirmed by taking your statement & receipts into any pharmacy.
Or you can tick the UC box, as UC is paid a month in arrears. In the absence of a UC box, tick JSA.

hi all, i have queary? i migrated last week from esa to uc. im in the support group. i still have two weeks till my esa stops. i had a dentist appointment today, they asked which benefit you are on? i told them my esa is stopping in two weeks going to uc, she said as i have still two weeks she will will not change the benefit details yet cos im getting esa. she told me few people have been find under uc as it is not free. she told me to find out.
i just want to know do i have to pay for the dentist under uc or is it free?
