    hello everyone/anyone

    New on here, can you tell?!

    Can someone help me with this;

    I cannot work anymore due to mental health problems. This year I have been diagnosed with ADHD and autism, I’m also dyslexic and suffer from depression and anxiety. I applied for PIP but was refused, I actually got 0 points! I don’t have much money, I am a total shopaholic and I cannot control my impulsive tendencies so I buy stuff I don’t need or want really. My house is out of control, it is messy all the time which drives me crazy. I am a bit of a hoarder so my house is just getting worse every day. I am also into up cycling so I make things to which just adds to the clutter but all I do all day is procrastinate, smoke and drink coffee… then order stuff off Amazon and do some painting or up cycling.
    I am also menopausal which has just added to the mayhem and I feel like I’m loosing any control I might have had over my life.

    I have also gained 4 stone or more due to compulsive eating (sugar - cookies and chocolate not actual real food) actually I hate food or rather hate I have to do it so I purge all day then compulsive eat in the evening making me feel gross and fat and ugly and useless and any other negative thought you might think of. Then I go to bed, wake up feeling tired, and start the whole cycle again.
    I need some help as I think I am going crazy.

    Sorry for the long message

    I have a tendency to over share (I think that’s the ADHD)

    Sarah xxx

    Welcome to the community @SarahPenelopeLoves and thank you for sharing so openly – that takes a lot of courage! 😊 It sounds like you’ve been going through an incredibly challenging time with so many things weighing on you all at once.

    For managing impulsive spending and clutter, Mind has resources on managing ADHD and compulsive behaviours that could be useful. You might also consider ADHD Aware for some strategies and support tailored to living with ADHD.

    It’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed. For support with hoarding and clutter, Hoarding UK could be a great resource, and they offer guidance without judgment. The Menopause Charity also has excellent advice on managing symptoms that can add to emotional and mental strain during menopause.
