Am I entitled to 2 bedrooms
Hiya
I am living in a 2 bed house that is totally unsuitable for me!!
I have been accepted as needing an adapted 1 bedroom property, nothing on the bidding system week after week!!
Unable to find an exchange!!
I have my son or a friend stay once mayb twice a week to help with getting a cooked meal! Help to assist with safe bathing, change bedding and keep me company and safe
Surly this would make me entitled to a 2 bedroom property? Of which they have more available.!
I have just been awarded full living and mobility after 18month review all the way to an appeal
Please can some1 advice if I will b entitled to a 2 bedroom as I will need more care as my health gets worse
Many thanks xx

The extra bedroom would be granted (generally speaking), if someone needed frequent overnight care.
From what you've written, I don't see that you currently meet that threshold.
Even if you needed more frequent care in future, your needs could potentially be met by carers coming in up to 4 times a day, so still no overnight requirements.
I'd recommend speaking to the bidding system allocations team to see what their opinion is, in allowing you to bid on two bed properties.

Hi
Going by the information you have provided in your post you wouldn’t be entitled/meet the criteria to a second bedroom. If you are set on a two bedroom property then unfortunately the only other option would be to privately rent or possibly trying to find someone willing to exchange with you.
