ESA migration to UC?

Hi Everyone,
I receive ESA and PIP, how do I know if I’m on income related or contribution based?
Also when will I be migrated over to UC? I have done the benefit calculator and it says I will receive more on UC, so want to migrate as soon as possible really.
Thanks for any help

Sometimes you can tell from the award letters (which are difficult to understand) or amount paid, otherwise it's best to ring ESA and ask.
You could be on Contributions Based, Income Related, or both.
CB ESA is not being migrated to UC.
Migration from IR ESA will be anytime from now until December 2025.
Do you receive the Severe Disability Premium in your ESA?

I’m in the support group for ESA, I think I’m on income related but not too sure.
On my letter it says £20.85 because of the disability income guarantee? Which premium does that mean, is it the severe one?
Thanks

No that's too low for SDP, so you probably don't get it.
In which case you are correct about being better off under UC.
Your ESA could still be Contributions Based with an Income Related top up, the only way really is to telephone and ask.
