OT Declared house not suitable

hi

I have ms, c PTSD, EUPD

I’m able to walk indoors with sticks and afo, but one of my problems area is that my left leg only has about 86% flexibility. Anyway, I used to live in London, but my mental health deteriorated and to be closer to family we moved to the south coast where we rent a flat from a housing association

I applied for a DFG so I could get a stair lift fitted and the bathroom converted to a wet room. However, my OT visited yesterday and basically because I cannot bend my leg (painful and spasticity ) I wouldn’t be able to use a stair lift. This means I cannot get a DFG, and the OT has stated I need to be rehoused


looking for advice and guidance

    Hi,

    Can you take that information back to the Housing Association and ask if they can rehouse you?

    Or are you disputing the OT's findings and believe you would be able to use a stairlift in the current property?
