PIP, do I get 2 payments in one month?

Hi, I got awarded pip late last October and all got it backdated after waiting over a year for a decision.
But I was told that you get 13 payments in 12 months as I get paid every 4th week on a Thursday and thought I would have been paid double this month (December) 2024 would there be reason why I haven't got double bubble as people say. Or would I get it later on this month??? As I have looked through my bank statements and have not received and double pip payment this year. I generally get £410 pip every 4 weeks. Or have I been misinformed about this?
Generally baffled about this so called 13 payments in a 12 month period.
Could this be a mistake done by pip?
Could someone please help with this query I have?
Hope to hear from anyone who knows more about this.
Thanks
Chris

PIP is paid every 4 weeks and yes it means that once a year you should receive 2 payments in one month. What date was your last payment?
I had 2 payments in October because my first payment was at the start of the month and my next was at the end of that month. It will be different for everyone depending on when your payment cycles are.

Hi Poppy, Thank you for your reply. I received my first payment today. So this should mean that I will receive another payment before the end of this month?
Many thanks
Chris

Hi, I know that my next payment would be the 2nd January. But will I receive another payment before the end of this month as I was told that you get another pip payment twice in one month with the way the 13 payments in 12 months works or something like that? Im baffled about how this all works.

Ah, I think I have worked it out now Noman. I will get 2 payments in the same month next year on the 2nd January and then I get another 29th January would be my next pip payment. Going by the 4 week process if that is right??? Thats if my guessing is correct???

I also had two in October this year. It just depends on how the dates fall with regards to when your claim began :) It's easier to just count 4 week intervals rather than focus on which month I find :)
