Hi @Ct11, sorry that you haven't had any responses to this so far. How are things going?

If you still need to cancel your PIP claim, you can call the PIP enquiries line to speak to someone about it:

Personal Independence Payment (PIP): Report a change to your needs or circumstances - GOV.UK

It can be a stressful process sometimes, so I can understand if you don't feel ready to claim again yet. I hope you're coping okay.

I wouldn't recommend cancelling PIP as it's your income you won't need to rely on anything else as a source of income.

That’s a shame you decided to cancel it. There’s never really a good time to go through the process because it will always be very stressful.

It’s good you have your partner for support. If you’re unable to manage your own claim because you’re mentally incapable or severely disabled are you aware that you can have an appointee? The appointee will be responsible for your whole claim, which includes receiving any money into their bank, filling out the forms, reporting changes and answering any questions during any potential assessment you may need.

There’s more information here in this link. https://www.gov.uk/become-appointee-for-someone-claiming-benefits

To start the process the appointee will need to ring to start a claim and ask to become your appointee. DWP will then start the process off and send a DWP representative to your home to fill out the forms.

I hope this helps you decide to go ahead in the future.
