PIP isn’t awarded based on any diagnosis. The criteria for PIP is completely different to DLA. I’d advise you to have a look at this before deciding whether to apply. If you do decide to apply your DLA will continue until a decision is made on the PIP. If successfully awarded your first PIP payment will be about 7 weeks after the decision is made.

If any PIP award is higher than your DLA you will not be owed the difference between the two.
