Random call
Hi, I had a random call on Wednesday that lasted less than 15 minutes asking some clarifying questions. The lady said I would not need an assessment and would do a paper based assessment.
I am worried as DWP have not had a report and I have not had the text to say the report has been recieved. From other threads it looks like this is normally done straight away after assessment. Is this normal?
It is a new claim, transfer from DLA due to turning 16.

They often (not always) send a text once the report is returned.
It’s not always returned straight away. Sometimes a report is chosen for audit. If this happens it will not be returned until the audit is completed. There’s no timescales how long it will remain there. The worst thing is that it does delay the decision making process.
If successfully awarded the first PIP payment will be about 7 weeks after the decision is made. No money will be owed even if the PIP award is higher than the DLA.
