in Universal Credit (UC)

my son got this in his journal does anyone understand the meaning of it what means for him ty he get paid 7th evey month but nothing there on payment this month ?

    There’s a full 3 month assessment period waiting time for the extra money to be paid. This period starts from when you provided your first fit note. It’s then paid from the 4th month with first payment being the end of that month. LCWRA element isn’t paid at all during that period.

    As the first fit note was provided in the middle of assessment period 1st to 30th Sept, this month doesn’t count.

    Therefore the waiting period is Oct, Nov, Dec… LCWRA starts from assessment period 1st Jan to 31st Jan and first payment will be 7th February. No LCWRA element is owed.

    thank you for your help wish they would explain better so he get just get one month start from 7th feb onwards ? There nothing else owing ? Ty

    You’re welcome. Yes it will be 1 month from 7th Feb payment. He should see the element included in that statement for that month.
