Rent and landlord disagreement

My agent sent me a voice message that "he will not renew my contract on March and the land lord will increase the rent and he said i am sure you will not afford it so I have to move out" any advice please.. you know it's difficult to find flats especially i am on benefits, keep in mind i never was late paying his rent last 2 years he increased the rent from 1600 to 2000 pound.. his increases like flying birds

    Only a court can evict you and it's a long process.

    You won't get any help from local authority if you voluntarily move out, as you will be deemed to have made yourself intentionally homeless.

    When a fixed term tenancy agreement comes to an end it will automatically become a rolling/periodic tenancy. You do not need to sign a further tenancy agreement. See link https://england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/private_renting/options_when_your_fixed_term_tenancy_ends

    The council won't be able to help until baliffs arrive to evict you, but it's worth speaking to them at this point for advice.

    You don't need to take anyone to court.

    You need to make sure the landlord follows the proper legal process to regain their property via court action against you, as outlined in the Shelter link I gave.

    You could also speak to Shelter so they can advise you of what you need to do.
