Mixed aged couples winter fuel payment

Hi both my wife and I were put into the mixed aged couples income related ESA when I was eligible for my pension 4 years ago, we have recieved the winter fuel payment since that time, however up to now its not been paid, are we still eligible due to the recent government changes.

    If you were still receiving Income Related ESA during the qualifying period of 16th to 22nd August 2024 then you'll be entitled to the WFP. See link.

    Hi Poppy thank you, do we have to wait or do we have to ring the DWP as I have read the closing date is the 29th Jan this year

    It says if you haven't received payment by 29th January then you need to ring the WFP helpline. I don't know if the helpline actually closes on that date.
