Hi @Skipling Unfortunately as we’re not legal experts, we can't give advice on the legalities of this.
Before making any changes it might be a good idea to check the rules about derestricting your scooter and see how it might affect any insurance or protection first.

derestricting it will make it illegal to use on uk pavements and roads, you could only use it offroad on private land, and yes the cops will pull you over if caught speeding, saw it the other week with someone,
4mph max pavement and 8mph on roads, 15mph on private land.

There are videos on how to derestrict the green power scooters. Just mearly pointing out that adjusting it to run at 15mph is illegal for use unless on private land.

It isn't necessarily the speed, but I would doubt the brakes could handle any higher than 8mph.
