Hi, my name is DeeGee16!
Hi, I joined because I am at the appealing to tribunal stage for my pip and thought i might get some helpful advice here. I have Rheumatoid arthritis in my wrists, Osteoarthritis in my hips, moderate copd and peripheral vascular disease. My initial application was given zero points and at the mandatory actually got 4 points but still not enough to qualify for pip. The whole process is really stressful. The initial assessment was over the phone with someone who i had difficulty understanding and had to keep asking them to repeat. I don't think the assessor understood the difficulties i have with mobility etc and the resulting letter was quite dismissive.
I submitted further evidence from the hospital who said that my walking test had to be stopped at 60 meters because of the pain yet the mandatory assessment still says i can walk 50 to 200 meters.
I'm looking everywhere for the right wording to use in my appeal form as i feel that on my initial application i didn't use the right 'trigger' words to get my point across.
This is all very stressful!

Have you had any support from local welfare rights?

I haven't. At present I am still able to work full time but it is getting harder. I have been on advice local but was just checking elsewhere for ideas. Thanks
