Jeremy Vine

Something should be done about this awful man, at least once a week on his tv show he belittles benefit claimants (today sickness benefits in particular) for lighthearted entertainment. It's worse than political discussion where the politicians are at least making (usually misinformed) points. It's verging on freak shows and Bedlam tours - using the disabled for other people's amusement.

every 10 mins or so we are told that 1 in 2 of us will get cancer. (Give us your money)
however from the moment of diagnosis a person is classed as disabled according to equality act. Therefore maybe entitled to benefits! So people like Vine and government should be reminded of this fact!

That Lin Mei woman used to work for the DWP, which explains a lot.

yes i agree, he's a patronising piece of whatever, always trying to make as joke that only he laughs at. Whenever he & his panel talk of the disabled, especially mental health the belittle it, especially Parry.. Well done Jemma..

I've noticed that a lot of the people and garbage newspapers attacking benefits claimants lately seem to be focusing on mental health.
These people, who clearly have no idea what they're even talking about, are fixated on portraying claimants with mental health problems as being liars who are exaggerating their symptoms to get money, because apparently that's a very trendy thing to do nowadays and it's apparently very luxurious to live like that.
As someone who has been suffering from depression and anxiety for over ten years now, not only do I find it incredibly offensive and insulting, but I also consider it to be a potentially dangerous attitude because it's undoubtedly very detrimental to the already fragile mental health of extremely vulnerable people.
There should be some kind of law against this ****.

Channel 5 used to be great for old movies. And I always used to watch CSI on there. I don't have regular TV anymore just use iplayer and Netflix and YouTube. That way I don't get exposed as to inflammatory **** that boils my blood. Can't actually remember the last time I watched regular TV. It's been years.

I gave up watching Jeremy Vine about a year ago because of him insulting disability benefit claimants.
People know what his views are so why bother watching the show if you disagree with him.
Its only giving him viewer numbers he doesn't deserve.
