Mobility scooter accessories to make daily life easier

hi every one, hope you’re all well.
I have just taken delivery of my mobility scooter as I have osteoarthritis in both knees & ankles, as well as cervical spinal stenosis.
I have an Xcite if that is relevant!
I have been told that the buttons cannot get wet (so no rain) but I don’t have anything to cover them with. Looking for suggestions if possible please x
I also would love to have access to the time or just my phone if possible, not sure if there any phone holders exist for mobility scooters or clocks? It would just be useful to have the time to check on my way to places.
I already have a bag for my sticks, a high vis bag for the back, a waterproof pouch to pop keys etc in. I don’t have a rain cover as I didn’t think I’d need it, I don’t go a very long distance (max one mile). Is there anything else which could be useful?
thank you xxx

Hiya @sugardoodle31, congrats on getting your new scooter, enjoy your freedom.
There are all sorts of different style control covers & also shower capes to cover you & the control. Even if you don't go far, you never know when there could be a cloudburst. There's Amazon you could look through & the other link shows some capes. I Googled for mobile phone holders & they're available, as you know the scooter layout, best to Google & see what are a good fit for you.

Hi! Gloves and protective helmet. Cover all surfaces with reflective film.

Those handlebar covers are cheap but worthwhile. I just use a plastic bag if caught out by the rain

Hi @sugardoodle31 its nice to hear you’ve got your new wheels.😊
In addition to what others have said you can look at bike accessories for phone holders. I just use a smart watch because I don’t like my phone on display.
Or maybe a motorcycle clock. There are lots different types and colours but here’s a plain one with old fashioned clock face.
blankets or quilts for your legs can be handy in the cold weather.0 -
Oops I forgot the quilt

I believe that it is necessary to legally oblige manufacturers of equipment for the disabled to produce rain-resistant products.
