Cares element

Hi everyone
Can someone please help me understanding,my son was awarded high rate for care, when I submitted the DLA forms I was working 16 hours a week, in the main time I got sick my work coach told me to submit sick notes and I filled out the uc50 ,
This week I received a message on my journal they will backdated the Disability child development, they haven’t mentioned the cares element is this because I’m waiting for the LCWRA
I would appreciate if someone can help me as it’s very confusing
As I have called them and they make me even more confused
As my work coach told me I don’t need to submit more fit notes also she said I don’t need to apply for cares allowance because that will be deduct for my uc

Carers Allowance would be deducted in full from your UC award.
You can get Carers Element, but if you are later given LCWRA the same person cannot get both, so CE will end.
If you have Transitional Protection on your claim, this would reduce by the LCWRA amount and remove Carers Element, potentially leaving you worse off.

Thank you
Transitional Protection sorry I don’t know what that means
Will LCWRA still going to contact me for the assessment ?

If you have Transitional Protection on your claim then it will be listed on your statements
Yes the Work Capability Assessment will carry on. The Assessment Provider will contact you with an appointment, unless they do a paper based assessment which happens but rarely.

I just checked my statement and I don’t see transitional protection is that bad?
If LCWRA call me for the assessment that means I still have to submit fit notes .
I’m sorry to keep asking but it makes me confused
And my work coach said I don’t need to submit more sick notes
Also she said the LCWRA will not do the assessment as I’m looking after my son
I’m not receiving the cares element yet I don’t no why
I did report the change on uc

No it's not bad that you don't get TP.
Your work coach is giving out incorrect advice.
While the WCA process is ongoing you do have to keep supplying Fit Notes, making sure there are no gaps is really important.
You can be an informal carer and get LCWRA yourself.
What you can't do is get both Carers Element and LCWRA.
Only the higher amount would be paid which is LCWRA.
Carers Element (£198.31) should be on your next statement if you have informed them of caring for your son who now gets DCE.
The WCA process will continue, if you are found to have LCWRA, the Carers Element will end and you will be paid LCWRA element (£416.19) instead.
