Pip claims... just info from anyone who's been through it.

Just looking for a little bit of information on how long things take.

I understand how long it takes over all but i'm just wondering about one part of it.

II recently got granted LCWRA And it was backdated only one month but hey ho better than a kick in the teeth and I finally have it moving forward but what a fight it was ...

I also put in a pip claim around the same time and I know the same people do the assessment for that as did for my LCWRA. And I have also been told that they can use that assessment as part of the evidence they need.So that's good news...

But I received a text message about 25 days ago telling me my claim is now in the hands of an assessor. And I just wondered how long people have waited from that point for an appointment (which the text clearly states * if needed *) to actually hearing from them about an assessment if needed or getting a response saying yes or no

I have been battling with them for a very long time and this is the furthest I have ever gotten, during the pandemic.I tried to get forms of them and they just conveniently never arrived , etc.. made multiple complaints and never heard back and it's just been one huge chaotic mess. Thankfully a few months back and spoken to delightfully helpful girl who took my base details then sent a link to finish online. Something not a single one of the other 15+ people i spoke to mentioned.

So I am currently just looking to find out about time frame. Obviously this is quite stressful. So if anybody is in the know.Could they let me know?

I know nothing will be concrete.Because experiences are all different. But a ball park figure would help settle my mind. Thankfully the LCWRA has come quickly and it's going to help massively but not as much as having everything sorted will!

Thanks in advance people. And have a great weekend.

WoWow that sounds horrendous. They say it should take about twenty weeks as a maximum , but they are trying to speed that up.. clearly not... looks like the battle with them is far from over

ItIt just drives me insane.Knowing that if I was the person on the other end of this and I was doing the assessment and I had it in my hand and I had all the information I needed.I would process it as quickly as possible... i know that they have backlogs , but they have backlogs because of the way they re doing things... crazy. But?

Thankfully , I got the other thing granted , so things are going to be a bit better at least from now on. But they need to sort it out
