Capital over £6k

hello .
I have a question.

We need to report capital over £6k , if it reaches 6k at any point of the month, even just for one day , or if it’s over £6k on the day when your monthly assessment ends ( like they do each month to calculate amount towards your next payment)

Thank you.

It's the circumstances on the last day of your Assessment Period that counts.

Have you received Cost of Living Payments?

If your capital hasn't gone below the amount you received, they are disregarded indefinitely.

So to calculate your applicable capital, subtract the CoL amount from the money you have.

two months ago I had received £1200 from my friend, then two days later spent it on something he asked me to. The money wasn’t in my account for longer than 48hrs , but I think in those 48hrs reached £6k or maybe £100 over .

if direct payments are disregarded, isn’t fair to say that they(UC) breach our privacy by actually questioning those very payments “ who is this person, why , what etc “?

Will my uc get suspended, if I say that I’m not going to answer anything regarding my personal spendings, unless I’m under investigation, which I wasn’t informed?
I also saw a post on here from one lady. She said that UC definitely breached data protection by saying that they use legislation 38 (2)

This very legislation is used by PIP for medical and only information, nothing to do with spendings and bank statements. Usually I’m not bothered too much about this stuff , but after last conversation on the phone I felt uncomfortable. Who is he , who , is she etc **** ??!
